Conclusions

 

      *Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) integrate telecommunications, electronics and information technologies - in short,  ‘telematics’ - with transport engineering in order to plan, design, operate, maintain and manage transport systems.
This integration aims to improve safety, security, quality and efficiency of the transport systems for passengers and freight, optimising the use of natural resources and respecting the environment.
To achieve such aims, ITS require procedures, systems and devices to allow the collection, communication, analysis and distribution of information and data among moving subjects, the transport infrastructure and information technology applications.

Parallel events - Beside the usual touristic activities in the city, on the day before and on the same day of this event some happenings are planned in Turin (La Traviata by the Orchestra and Choir of the Regio Theatre, 10.3 at 3 p.m.; Expocasa/”Expo-house” - 50th edition at Lingotto Fiere since the 2nd until the 10th of March; Eros Ramazzotti Tour 2013 – 10.3 h 21:00 at Palaolimpico; Piemonte share festival 11- 16.3) which might reduce the availability of rooms in the hotels; in the “Aula Magna” of the Politecnico di Torino, a conference-audition of the music professional Attilio Piovano on the chamber music of Debussy and Ravel will follow this workshop on ITS.


Eventi contestuali - Si segnala che, oltre alle usuali attività turistiche, sono programmate - nel giorno prima ed in quello di questo evento - alcune manifestazioni in Torino (La Traviata Orchestra e Coro del Teatro Regio, 10 marzo h 15:00; Expocasa - 50a edizione al Lingotto Fiere dal 2 al 10 marzo; Eros Ramazzotti Tour 2013 10 marzo h 21:00 al Palaolimpico, Piemonte share festival 11- 16 marzo) che potrebbero ridurre la disponibilità di posti negli hotel; all’evento su ITS seguirà nell’Aula Magna del Politecnico, aperta al pubblico, una conferenza-audizione del musicologo Attilio Piovano su sulla musica da camera di Debussy e Ravel.
